This are the flowers of the willowtree. We called them "pussycats". It is in a park near us.

These look very similar to the Australian native bottle-brush, they must be a relative?

Margareet, what are these? It looks like they grow in the wild.
Margreet, in Australia we call them Pussywillow trees and they are so soft like kitten fur.

Whooee. In Australia we take cuttings, stick them into damp ground and grow a tree.
The willow (salix) I believe is the source of asprin.
