I show you where I live

Here you see me with my large embroidery, it is made by cross-stitches D.M.C one thread. it is 1.40/1.20 meter.

It took me 4 years of making it, each day I worked on it. During that years good and bad things happen to me. Our son became ill, but he recovered very good. My mother died. But also my other son get married. So this embroidery is my proud and a part of my life.

It is based on an old map of Blaue and it showed The Netherlands from about 1630.

Jan, my dear husband. We are married for more then 44 years. He is the man behind this blog, my great help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Margreet, omigosh, how incredibly talented you are. ALL of your work is amazing, but this map... I don't have the words to describe how lovely it is.

and what a beautiful blog you have.

I moved here to Virginia (Washington DC area) from Washington state, in the Pacific Northwest part of the US. Washington state is also known for its tulips, so the pictures here made me homesick.

I'm sorry, Margreet, for the loss of your mother.

In friendship,
Catherine (From ATC Beginners)
